Hi all,

My wife is the US Citizen; I am Canadian. She has been living here with me while we await the visa process' conclusion.

To date we have have completed everything up to my interview, where we were asked to provide further proof of domicile and a new I-864. We had a family tragedy over the next year, and by the time we were ready to submit the paperwork, they had barely closed my case conditionally.

We requested a case reopening given the family tragedy, and they allowed it, at which we submitted all paperwork (passport) and remaining documentation.

Now we wait,

It has been since September 10th that they received my documents, so over 100 days.

Has anyone ever dealt with a case reopening and completion timelines?

Likely the holidays have slowed things down. Give them a call on Monday and try to speak to a supervisor.

I'll give Montreal a call. Their level of correspondence via email is quite... reserved and cryptic at best.

Already had the interview. Further documents were required. I was asked to submit documents along with my passport. That was September, too long to be without a passport.

Oh i thought you were still waiting.

Okay well if you submitted documents it can take several months to process. Contact them via email or their online form but there isn't much you can do.
