Am I wrong in this

I live with my mom and Gram but my gram has her own income.

1.So shouldn't my household size just be 3? (mom, me and my husband)? I was told household size is people we are financially responsible for?

If I'm right

2. Has anyone had or heard of the NVC being wrong with the household # size even though you clearly stated the correct number on the forms??

hi

is your mom a dependent on your taxes? if not, they aren't part of your household size, it doesn't matter that you live in the same house,

if she is not your dependent and you didn't claim her on your taxes, then the household size is 2, you and your husband

yes, immigration can make mistakes

hi

you will file an i864 regardless of your income as the petitioner and primary sponsor

so your household size is 2, you and your husband

your mom will file an i864A as your household member

now for her household size, is your grandma her dependent? is she married? if it is her alone, then she will also have a household size of 2, herself and your husband

I received a checklist from the NVC for the 1-864.

I need to submit the original or copy of marriage certificate (I already sent this but will again) and also they said our financial level isn't enough. I called and asked about the financial thing. They are saying my household is 4 even though it's not. She said I have 2 options. At interview I can explain it's only 3 or I can find a new sponsor.

Is this info correct?

If we get a new sponsor, do we submit that to the nvc or the consulate overseas??

hi

as said your household size is not 3, it's 2, so you did something wrong when you submitted the i864

did you put household size of 2? is your income enough for 2 people?

why do they think that your household size is 4?

you keep saying that your household size is 3, that's where you made the mistake

it's not 3 nor 4, it's 2

you and your husband, as you don't have any children as your dependents, and neither your mom or your grandma are your dependents

you have to redo the i864

hi

you received an RFE, which you need to reply with the checklist requested, unless the instructions tell you to take them to the interview, you must send the information requested

if she claimed you on her 2014 taxes, then yes, she will put you as her household size

so, is the combined income good enough to cover all 4 of you?

your grandma has nothing to do, and should not be included

Anyways the letter said this

We reviewed the Affidavit of Support documentation you sent to the National Visa Center
(NVC). According to the current poverty guidelines, it does not appear you or any of your
sponsors meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrant(s)
for this petition. To avoid delays, you may have an additional sponsor complete an
Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) and provide it to the intending immigrant to submit at
their interview. At that time, a consular officer will make a decision regarding this
requirement.
The NVC said we would bring the financial documents to the interview. If we were to find another sponsor, Do they only need the 1-864, or taxes, paystubs, etc
