DCF Frankfurt regular mail or registered

Hi folks!

I sent my IV package by regular mail as it says in the instruction at the US embassy in Frankfurt website. Stupid me! I looked at their instruction and it is even underlined 'send us by regular mail". I read it as not registered. Maybe they meant something different? Now I am worried to death if my originals get lost. There is no way to track the package and I don't know if they received my documents at all. Has anyone had experience with it to share?

We just sent my I-130 last week and also read it as unregistered mail! It's not clear at all. I think you're right, it's meant to be the Deutsche post, but registered. Not a courier service.

How long did it take for your I-130 to be approved?

They probably meant that it should not be send by APO address or anything like that aghhh or that what you said....I am so much worried now that my mail will get lost. It took me half a year to receive my birth certificate. Should I write them and inquire if they received my documents, later in a couple of weeks?

Normally it takes them one to three months to approve i-130. It took exactly 3 months to approve our petition

I would wait until next week, and then email them to see if they have received your documents. It says on their website NOT to contact them, but how else are you meant to find if they received your papers?!
