AOS - How to write an "explanation"?

Dear all,

I have just received two pages from the DHS, saying they are missing documents. As it is just a machine-generated sheed with a box checked, I'm not sure what they want - I suppose an explanation why we did not submit tax return forms for 2005.

Has anyone experiences with writing an explanation that my husband (i.e. my sponsor) has not been working that year? I'd appreciate your help.

Perhaps if you were to post - verbatim - the words that are to the right of the box with the checkmark in it.
