Dropping middle name during naturalization - need help

Hi,

I would like to get rid of my middle name during naturalization

would it be counted as a name change? Currently my SSN card has first letter of my middle name , but my professional licence has my full middle name

I know sometimes people just drop it off and the is no court order, however in my professional license I have my full midlle name listed, so in the future I may need confirmation of any type of name change

Shall i insist on getting court order regarding name change during my naturalization interview? Is dropping off middle name counted as name change from legal point of view?

Enter the changes you would like on the N400. At the interview, you will be given a chance to review.

I changed my first name. It was part of the review of the N400 application. No big deal
