221g

I was interviewed on nov 5, 2015 with 221g (aka NBI, discrepancy of my middle name in my birth cert). I was able to submit the required additional document via 2go courier a day after. After a week my status was changed to "under administrative processing". Until Dec. 2 it turned into a "READY" status and asked me to check after two business days but still the same status. I sent email and told me "your case is still on process and the passport is not ready for delivery. Please track your passport at a later date or time and wait for another notification once there is an update in the case."

Is having 221g like my case can be a ground for my visa refusal? What does it mean by my present status, is this positive or negative sign?

Not exactly, as soon as you were able to submit what was missing - everything should be fine. It should change to AP for a couple of days then issued right after that.
