I'm attaching two guides for you. One for the Cr1 spousal visa and one for the CRBA for the birth of your child (assuming you qualify to pass citizenship on to your child as the child is unlikely to be born in the US)

Good luck

Welcome!

Read through the guides linked above by canadian_wife. They're very helpful. The first one is how to bring your wife to the US. The second one is how to get U.S. citizenship for your child once he/she is born. Those are two different processes.

As for bringing your wife here - Short "in-a-nutshell" breakdown of how the process works:

1. You fill out a petition (Form I-130) to the USCIS, asking them to allow your wife to apply for a visa to immigrate to the United States.

2. Your petition is approved by USCIS and sent to the State Department (they handle all visa cases).

3. Your wife applies for an immigrant visa (called CR-1, or IR-1 if you've been married more than 2 years), and is interviewed by the U.S. embassy in Tokyo.

4. The embassy approves the CR-1/IR-1 visa, your wife flies to the U.S.

5. At the airport, your wife's CR-1/IR-1 visa is processed, and she becomes a permanent resident (green card holder).

Think of this in steps. Begin with the I-130 petition.

Ask any questions in the forums here. A lot of the members on this site, myself included, have been through the exact same process and know it very well.
