I am going to apply for Citizenship based on 5 years rule.

I applied for GC in August 2010, done bio-metrics, and left US in mid-September 2010 - as soon as I knew I wouldn't have interview (I couldn't miss my final year at the University). My GC was issued in October 2010, and later on my parent brought it to me. I came back to US in February 2011. May it create a problem with naturalization?

If that was your only extended absence in the last 5 years, you will be fine. Just be ready to explain why you were away for so long. I would bring a school transcript to the interview.

Also, don't forget that you are only asked to document travel history for past 5 years. We are almost outside the period in question. Why you cannot lie and must be ready to discuss all of your past, it is no different than not listing where you were working 6 years ago.

Autocorrect typo on my part. Sorry about that.

Why While you cannot lie.....

He'll be out of the statutory documentation period in a few months. If there is any concern on his part, he should just wait until February.

I would use the additional time to order transcripts from the school.
