Filling out the K-1 with a PDF Editor

Hi all,

I am about to start my journey. My fiance is in Mexico and I am in the U.S. I have saved the PDF files and am using a PDF editor to fill in the forms. My hope is to be able to fill out everything here, then just send her the forms with all the information by email so that she can just print them out and Fed Ex them back to me. Here is where I run into a problem, though: When I go in to edit the G-325A, some fields print out in a different font than others. If I were to print it out that way, do you think it would get rejected? Has anybody else run into the same issue? Thanks!

Ah many thanks! I suppose I could also fill the form online, print it out, scan it, email it to her then have her print it out and sign it and FedEx it back to me. Phew! My head just started spinning!

I did find it odd that the forms have different fonts and/or text sizing from one box to another. I remember on one of the forms there were two address locations that appeared to be identical size, but one allowed fewer characters than the other, so I ended up hand writing the address. At $340 times thousands of filers, I'd think they could afford to improve the forms.

Skip the printing and scanning part, just send her a copy of the saved pdf form and email it to her. She can print it out there.

PatGia: i agree with you that for 340 bucks, they should have forms that are easier to edit. The only thing I can think of is that they do it for security reasons? Hmmm..
