Hi everyone,

Does anyone know when/how they provide you with a tracking number once your K-1 visa has been approved? My fiancee was approved on Thursday October 8th. He told me he provided them with a phone number when he was paying the MRV fee, etc. Sorry just in a panic as we are getting married November 6th!

Thank you for any help! Good luck to everyone going through this!

When the visa status on CEAC changes to "issued", the next day or day after he should get an email about delivery. Those timings vary. Once he gets the email, delivery or pick up is almost always the following day. See how long it has taken others here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/550974-interview-date-to-visa-in-hand-how-long-2015-data/?p=7851872

Thank you for your help! He picked up his documents on Tuesday. Do you know if his birth certificate is in that brown envelope? Just asking because we need it for the marriage license. He said his passport was in there but then an envelope. I was just wondering if they given you the documents in the envelope at immigration,

Documents like that are always handed back at the interview. If he doesn't have it, then he'd better order another. Or ask the marriage license place if his passport would do as proof of his identity.

His delivery would be in a wrapper containing his passport and a sealed envelope with all his immigration files. He can open the wrapper to get his passport/visa. He can't open the sealed envelope. That is handed over at POE.
