So...not exactly sure which forum to post this in.

My wife's mom is flying in for a month long visit.

She has back issues and usually takes hydrocodone when it really starts hurting. With a 4 hour flight and then an 18 hour drive a couple days later, she will probably need to bring her meds. In colombia they're over the counter. In the USA obviously you need to get a prescription from your doctor.

So if she buys a packet to bring with her (i'm guessing maybe 20-25 pills) will they giver her any problems getting through customs/security?

The last thing we want is for her to have a problem getting here. Worst case scenario is they'd just confiscate the pills, right? It's not like she's bringing a suitcase full, or anything that should set off any red flags. But we just want to be sure she does everything by the book and doesn't have any problems.
