Mother's name on BC different from G-325A

Hey guys! joining this topic i got the same issue with my mom Bc and my Bc its the spelling of her maiden name which my middle name when i was a single before. here's the situation:

mom bc- Datu

my bc- Dato

the last letter are different. back when i was doing a k1 visa i just followed my bc to all my forms and had no problem. NOW my question is my husband and i planning to sponsors my parents in the Philippines to come in the US next year for a tourist visa. does my mom need to change the spelling of her maiden name before she get a passport and before scheduling appointment for interview. Thanks!

Hi steffichon I wish I could help answer your queries but I'm actually just new here and just got points and tips from previous posts over the years.. Have you read some post here on VJ with the same situation like you have? Mine is a bit different than yours because I am the applicant so it will be my identity they need to verify and not my mother.. On the other hand, your parents applying for a tourist visa needed to provide proof of relationship between you as the sponsor and them as beneficiary (and one way of doing that is providing both birth records which would reflect the discrepancy). Look, I am only saying this based on my experience but it was for a different country and I don't know if it works that way in US too.

haha my bad! VJ's are so "word conscious".. anyway, what I meant about being the "sponsor" is just someone who invited you for the tour and the "beneficiary" as the applicant.. I don't know how u call them here, but the one asking is also using the terms anyway and when I apply my tourist visa, agents call them "sponsors" too..

Still wrong, don't need someone to invite you to acquire a tourist visa. In fact the embassy doesn't care at all about that.

Really? I think it's a case to case bases though.. Sure thing you won't need that if you can establish yourself that you would return to your home country. But coming from a third world country and visiting to a first world country? Unless you're very influential, then you got that right..

Additional guys my siblings and I have the same spelling of my middle name only our mother have different that's why I'm worried for her forms like ds-160 and passport. What are the chances to be approved for a tourist visa? I'm pregnant right now and due date will be on march I have no family in MN that's why my hubby wants my dad and mom to be here during my delivery birth for my baby and they can help me even just a month coz my hubby always working 12 hrs a day even Saturday they're really busy on their company during winter and spring. I was hoping that my parents will be here by that time.
