Uh oh...just found something I may have misunderstood.

On the AOS, page 1. Other information. Is that about the applicant or myself? It's the information on the right side of the page. If it's for my wife, there isn't enough space to put her phone number with country code. What do I do there?

That section is asking about the intending immigrant. If the space provided is insufficient, write "see attached" on the form itself and fill in the complete information on a supplemental sheet (be sure to indicate the section and line on the supplemental sheet the information corresponds to).

And what about part 9? Do I need to fill out that information again?

That only applies if YOU used an interpreter to assist you in filling that form out. If you did not use an interpreter, it does not apply to you.

I can fit the phone number for Japan, but there isn't enough space for the country code. Doesn't make sense to have a field that can't be completed correctly. Oh, well. Guess I'll have to attach a sheet of paper with just a phone number.

You can write it in using a pen on the form.

Really? Ok then, I'll do that. Let's just hope I can print nicely on the form. Terrible writing seems to run rampant in my family. LOL

Does she have a visitor's visa at this time?

Was the CR6 status revoked due to expiration?

Is she able to travel to the US legally? If so that means she has a visa in her passport that is not cancelled. If she does then that is what you use to file the form.

Her CR6 visa was cancelled several years ago. We traveled to the U.S. on many different occasions after it was cancelled with no issues.

Ok. Just found something interesting on the Affidavit Of Support form.

On page 1, part 3, items 1a - 1c, where it asks for your information, when you fill those fields, it seems to automatically fill out the information on page 7, part 9, items 1a - 1c.

If I remove the information in part 9, items 1a - 1c, it removes them from part 3, items 1a - 1c.

Did any of ya'll know about this? Why does it do that?
