Just checking. We got a email from the doctor's office saying they need four passport (2 * 2 or 51mm * 51mm) photos at the med exam appointments. The K packet said we need 6 photos but doesn't specificy if that includes the 4 the doctor is saying they need.

Is it 10 total?

Also, if any wants to chime in. How long does it usually take to get the police/criminal background document needed and what is that process?

Thanks in advance.

my fiance is at his medial right now (in brazil) and he had to bring 10 photos with him. not sure if it's the same.

for police records, he was able to get both (federal and civil) online and print them for free. if that's not available for your country, then you'll probably have to go to the police department and fill out some paperwork. i would allow some time for that because you never know how long it could take them to process it. maybe a couple weeks? he also obtained copies of his court records (nothing on them, but just got them as proof that he has no charges against him). for that he had to go down to the courthouse and fill out some paperwork. it took a week to get both.

good luck!

You can print the certificate online, https://antecedentes.policia.gov.co:7005/WebJudicial/antecedentes.xhtml, but the our interview letter had a J by police certificate, indicating that it was a copy, and that they needed the original.

So, I'm going to bring this version, https://tramites.cancilleria.gov.co/ciudadano/certificadoantecedentes/solicitud.aspx, apostilled. You have to pay 30,000 COP. After you send the request, there's a confirmation number, which you can bring to a bank and pay there.
