Part 5. Q1. Were your parents married before your 18th birthday? Yes or No?

My biological parents were divorced. My stepfather and my mother married before my 18th birthday.

Some questions have two parts, if I answered "No" to the first and the second part say "If Yes". Can I leave the second part blank?

Thanks for your help

These questions exist to determine if you may have derived citizenship from your parents. Are either of your parents citizens? If not, you should of course still answer truthfully, but in this case the answers would not really matter.

In this context, your biological parents are the focus. If your stepfather had been a citizen, and had legally adopted you, then you could use him instead.

But to answer your question (given what you have shared on this post), use your biological parents. Your stepfather is not relevant, given the facts.

Hello,

My lawyer just sent out my N400 packet a couple of days ago... I just received a copy of the packet today via email from him... After gone through the packet, I noticed that the copy of my permanent resident card that he sent in with the packet only has the front side.... Would that create a problem?? I know that the instruction said both front and back....

other than that everything else looks good...... Thank you
