DR - Change in phone number of beneficiary

Hello!

We have an approved petition (YAY!), NOA2, and we're waiting on NVC processing.

My question - my fiance's post-pago cell phone contract (Claro) has become problematic and expensive. We want to close it, and go pre-paid for less of a hassle. But he would have a new phone number, and the old number would be disabled. We've resisted doing this, not wanting to mess with or cause any problems to the process. Which does the DR embassy use most for communication, mail or phone? And if we were to change it, does anyone know the process? And is it likely to cause delays? Should we just suck it up and keep paying Claro to avoid any issues/problems/delays?

Thank you!

First they dont call, rarely they do it.

When they comunicate they use e-mail or post office.

save just in case the calls records from the old phone, hust in case that they ask for it.

Because if your fiance has a new number and they ask for old calls record maybe you wont be able to get the old record, but if you save the calls record you can change.

Here we can change phone plans even company and we can keep the same number, why is he get a new number?

Now with the new process they dont send letter for interview , you schedule your interview for k1, so dont worry for calls.

Just make sure you have the call records. My now-husband even changed address during this stage of the K1 process, and I called NVC and asked them to update his address. I don't think they ever looked at either one. Go ahead and change if you'd like to! :)
