Documents to bring to airport?

My fiance was approved in the Dominican Republic last Thursday. Thanks to everyone and VisaJourney. This resource has been very helpful.

My question: My fiance says the embassy will not return her birth certificate and police certificate with her passport, is this true?

She also claims that she needs a letter of intent to marry to bring to the airport to fly to the USA, is this true or false?

Her birth certificate and police certificate are sealed in a big envelope along with other documents. The embassy will give this envelope (sealed) and passport back to her. At POE, she needs to give the sealed envelope to border officer.

No, she doesn't need a letter of intent to marry to come. Her k1 visa on her passport allows her to fly over. Not the letter of intent to marry.

Thank you. We were pretty stressed and nervous but it went quick! We started the process in April 2015 and ended July 24. Where are you located in the USA?
