Harvard study picks Miami Dolphins to reach Super Bowl

A student at Harvard University has developed a model for predicting the odds for each team to make the NFL playoffs, and what's most odd about

Kurt Ballard's formula is that strength of schedules are not considered.

Instead, he uses an Approximate Value statistic from Pro Football Reference combined with ESPN's NFL depth charts to determine how teams will do. The formula is posted on the Harvard College Sports Analysis Collective webpage.

Bullard ranked all 32 teams, picking the Seattle Seahawks to beat -- are you ready for this? -- the Miami Dolphins in the Super Bowl. The Green Bay Packers were his second-rated team behind the Seahawks, but teams from the same conference can't play in the Super Bowl.

As for our local favorites, the 49ers were rated 26th and given a 12 percent chance of making the postseason. The Raiders were dead last, with a one percent chance of playing in January.

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.
