Congratulations!

It normally takes 14 days for the NVC to receive your case from the service center. I would start calling the NVC around October 14th to see if they have received your case. If not, keep calling every other day until you get word that they received your case. After that you normally ahve to wait another 12 to 14 days for both your case and Invoice ID numbers to be assigned.

We never received word from Naples when they received our case. Instead our status changed on the CEAC website to "READY" which will indicate when the consulate has received and scanned your case into their system.

My wife had her medical done this morning and tomorrow is her interview.

Thank you for the reply, and good luck for tomorrow!!

I'll be waiting for results and reviews about it!!! :D

I read the review. Thank you for submitting it.

I have a question: are you able to track your visa shipment through DHL now?

Yes, and I received word from my wife this morning that her visa is ready for pickup at the local DHL facility there in MIlan. That was a pretty quick delivery from Naples to Milan!

That's cool because I am from Milan too :)

Thanks for the information. So excited for you guys. I hope my interview will go smoothly. I wish my fiance can be with me, I know he won't be able to.

I am not able to edit my previous post, anyways another question: once my case will be on "Ready", can I just send the packet 3 to the embassy (because I have already all the documents ready, and I got the packet from the embassy website); or should I wait they will send it to me?

I mean, I am ready to set an interview date.

Congratulations! I am not too familiar with the process for K1 as we are CR1. I do know that for a CR1 case the time frame between NVC receive and consulate is anywhere from 2 to 3 months. Any K1 people out there that could shed some light?

Very kind from you to response.

My case went "In transit" since today! I am so excited and so happy! *_*

I can't wait to see change in "Ready" and contact the embassy.

Stepson stuck in that hell hole in Venzuela that we have been trying to get him out of there for the last 12 years met an Italian girl with an Italian citizenship. They are getting married this month and looking forward to moving to Italy. Not nearly as bad as trying to get him here.

My father was born in Italy, so I am first generation, checked into this, they really want me back, Ha, kicking this around, have all of my family here, but nice to be wanted by at least country.

This current adminstration is not the least bit interested in Latin America, far more interested in Africa and the Middle East and sure doesn't get along with Venezuela. So, we the people have to suffer because of this leadership.

The only way we could see my stepson, was to visit him in Italy, a far better place to go than to Venezula. Sure has an old history. As US citizens, would probably end up in a hellhole prison in Venezuela.

Been fighting the NVC for the last ten years trying to get my stepson out of that hell hole, Venezuela. In a couple of weeks, he is marrying a girl with an Italian citizenship, was reading how easy it will be for him to immigrate to Italy. Just visit the Italian consolate in Venezuela, with a birth and marriage certificate and a piece of paper stating he is crime free. Move there, and live for two years to get his Italian citizenship.

I'm also a first generation Italian, for the fun of it, contacted my Italian consolate, they really want me back. Just saying its nice to be wanted in some country. Italy is a beautiful country, price of diesel fuel is rather expensive, but see many people riding bicycles. But for now, would rather visit Italy than that hell hole Venezuela.
