Emergency Passport

My wife did the paperwork to renew her Philippine passport about 2 months ago. She's still waiting for it to be sent back to her here in the U.S.. In the last few days, her grandfather became very ill. My wife wants to go back to see him before it's too late, but she doesn't have her passport yet. Is there anything she can do besides wait? Is there any kind of emergency passport that can be issued very quickly?

Any help is appreciated,

Thank you

I would contact the Philippines Embassy in USA which serves your area. Maybe they can do one day processing if you go in person.

My buddy had his passport stolen in Cebu last year, and US Embassy was able to get him a new passport same day.
