Question about naturlization

Hi guys - I worked as a H1B in a major US multinational (company A)

Company B sponsoed GC for me as a future employee (small company).

When I got my GC, I did not quit my job in company A. Rather, for about 3 months I worked full-time at both Company A and B at the same time (long hours but I managed it). My intention was to work indefinetly for COmpany B but after working there for 3 months, I did not like it so I quit Company B.

I still now work for Company A.

Will this be an issue when I apply for citizenship?

Possibly. The green card was for you to work at company B. USCIS has to be convinced that you did not just work at company B to get a green card. If you intended to work for company B then you didn't do anything wrong. If you intended to "try them out" then you did not adhere to the terms of your employment based green card. It's hard to prove intent, so it's hard to tell what will happen. The fact that you never left company A points to you not being sure you wanted to work for company B. An interviewer may think you just used company B to get a green card.

Having said that, I've read very few cases where switching companies has been an issue at the interview. I don't think they care that much. Just make sure you are prepared to explain exactly what happened in case you are asked (you may not be). Good luck.
