Hey -

I have a few questions re: Packet #3 -

1. RE: Medical Exam - does any one know how much is the cost for the vaccines and how many shots are there? My fiance does not have an immunization record and I think that he has to get all of the shots.

2. Can we send in the packet 3 to the embassy by FedEx or does it have to be TNT/DHL?

3. Does he have to send in a copy of his passport or the actual passport into the embassy?

Thanks!

Fouad

You don't have to send the passport with the packet 3, just a copy of the pages with his photo and personal info.

In all total with the translations, documents, copies, visa fee, courier fee, and medical exam it cost Moh around 1600LE.

Like Jean said, TNT courier is the only courier you can use.

Moody, do you know if it differs from K-1 to K-3 with the passport submittal? Or has Cairo changed their operating procedures? I know when we submitted our packet 3 back in January of last year, we had to submit the passport. I'm kind of under the impression that there have been changes made and I'm curious to know what they are. If this is a change, its a good one. They held Moh's passport hostage for 11 months!

Not sure about a difference between K1 and K3 but I do know that now they are offering to return the passport after the interview. They no longer hold it hostage. I would think that K1 and K3 would be the same as far as packet 3. I wouldn't trust sending the actual passport to the consulate.
