• Found a woman in her 30s and four children had been hit by a Seat Leon
• Witnesses said two youngest children were sent '30 metres down the road'
• Police have arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving

• A mother and her four children are fighting for their lives after being mowed down by a car 'doing 100mph' as they strolled to the park.

  Five ambulances and an air ambulance rushed to Grove Lane in Handsworth, Birmingham, following the horrific collision at 12.05pm today.

  Paramedics found a woman in her 30s, a four-year-old boy, a seven-year-old girl, a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy had been hit by a grey Seat Leon.

  Witnesses said the two youngest children were sent flying '20 to 30 metres down the road' due to the force of the impact as the family crossed the road.

  Police have arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Yet cars kill as many people as guns. And both death rates have been going down for years. And there are a lot more guns than cars in the U.S so guns are safer. You are more likely to be in an auto accident than you are to get shot. How many auto accidents have you been in?
