My fiancée and I have just decided to start the journey and have stumbled upon this site. We have tons of questions and would definetly appreciate the feedback. So the USC has a domestic violence conviction from two years ago (wrongly accused) more than happy to provide police reports, proof of counseling, record expungement, (we know the government can see it anyway) and even a positive recommendation from officers in the court. Will this prevent us in any way in filing a K1?(if that's the right way to start this)

Regretfully, this is one of the things that is specifically asked about on the I-129.

I hope your documentation is very good. Just be open and totally truthfully about everything.

You should have no problem, if you have what you posted. (documentation concerning the domestic violence)
