Did I do the right thing?

I applied for a job and now was asked to undergo a background check, my concern is when I filled up the form the following questions were asked:

Name

Lastname

Address

Birthdate

SSN

I entered the lastname that was in my SSN card, I used it because when I got here in USA, I applied for SSN and use my lastname while I was still single. Then I remembered that when we filed for Income tax, the system did not accept my husband lastname so i changed it to my lastname. I worked before at Walmart and passed the background check but Im worried because now the agency who will conduct the background check is HireRight, and found that it will take weeks to be completed.

Do you think I did the right thing that I used my lastname and not my husband lastname when I filled up the form?

*I just got my GC last April and havent visited the SSA to change my lastname.

Ok the HireRight completed the background check for 2 days. I got the job. Thanks God.

So no need to worry even you just got here in USA and doesn't have enough reference, no credit history, no employment record. You will be ok.
