Proof of on-going relationship

I have plenty of proof of an on going relationship with me and my fiance'. I have one question though. I use Verizon world calling cards for the rate. I kept all the receipts for all the calling cards I've purchased over the last year as well as the expired calling cards too. Thing is, on my cell phone bills is displays 800-706-1711 but not my fiance' s phone number. How can I prove that that pages of 1-800-706-1711 calls were and are being made to her. Her incoming calls on my cell phone bills display her phone number and country which is good. Oh forgot to mention her phone is pre-paid. Your suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

I guess you can't really.

I sent copies of used phone calls and some of them said "Mexico" on them - as the best rates are to Mexico....hahaha. Along with these I sent phone bills (to Brazil) and proof that I had bought a prepaid calling card PIN (through a Brazilian website) which show my login/password as containing our names.

I think we have to do the best we can with what we have. This can always be considered secondary proof - what is most important is that you met in the past 2 years. The proof of ongoing relationship is more for the interview.

To be honest, we had the same difficulty, but we had 3 years worth of photos (visible changes and obviously some were in the US, some were in England). We also took screen dumps of our email accounts overview with over 3 years of mails back and forth. We were worried that we hadnt proved we'd called each other but the rest of the evidence spoke for itself (3 1/2 year relationship), so it wasnt vital. We had loads of other evidence, and we decided "oh well, it is what it is" and submitted our package.

If you have the pictures, the travel itineries and the emails, then i'd say do that and be confident. We got approved in 21 days without any proof of ever calling each other!

If you have substantial proof otherwise, i would say in my experience that it isnt going to make a difference either way, im sure the USCIS appreciate that phone cards do happen, maybe send the phone bill and a print out that confirms that number is a phone card? But seriously, we had the same problem and decided that our other evidence was strong enough, it sure worked for us.

Teddy.

I have a million phone records with that phone card. At least 200 pictures, pictures with her, her family, her friends/my friends. Engagement ring with receipt as well as pictures with engagement ring on. Flight itineraries, hotel itineraries, restaurant receipts, western union online receipts. What else do I need? I can't think of anything else on paper. But I can reassure that 1 on 1 they will know that our relationship is an on going relationship that didn't just happen yesterday.

I separated our "proof" into 2 categories: meeting in past 2 yrs and ongoing relatonship. You could do that.

I sent a bit of each - for the meeting in past 2 yrs:

Copy of Brazilian visas from passport

Copy of Stamped entries into Brazil

Copy of teaching certificate from Brazil

Copy of both sides of Brazilian residency card with translation

Copy of Flight Coupons and Itinerary from latest trip

Receipt from hotel and business card with translation

Pictures (6) from 2004 until the present

As for ongoing relationship, I sent 5 emails with translations, phone cards, online receipts for calling cards, phone bill, birthday card, letter from a friend with translation, etc.

I've heard it's not a good idea to send Western Union receipts because that doesn't show a relationship....it shows that money was sent from one person to another and may be suspicious.

I'm NOT saying that it is - but only what I've read.

Bora Bora thank you!

Your right, western union receipt may not be a good look.

I see you have an interview coming up soon. Congrats! I know you can't wait!

1 last question. can the passport photos be in color or do they need to be in B&W? Also my girl gave me 5 passport photos, I only need 2 right?

For I-129F? I think only one, but yes it can be in color. Just make sure that if the instructions ask for a white background that she has one - and that it's the right size.

I'd suggest checking the instructions, I can't remember.. :whistle::innocent:

Thanks for your remark about the interview. We're ecstatic - meeting up in Rio in 19 days!!!
