(L) Hey all I'm just checking in...yes I sound redundant to my self to but hey its Saturday.

Had to send in a request for an extension ..followed the sample letter on here and added how long of a delay Canada has been experiencing on mailing out passports then emailed it as well as snail mailing a notarized copy. Got an email back right away saying that the consulate officer could extend it for re-validity when the first period of validity is up...yes saving all emails as well as a "hard" copy of each and making sure fiancé has same. Hope everyone else is having a little bit smoother time, although I wont complain as its the last thing he needs to get to send to consulate and am grateful its not an even longer wait. I have learned to have more patience when it comes to all things immigration.

Be patient grasshopper.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt
