I submitted a petition for my mom early january (form i-130 and i-485). She had her biometrics done and we have submitted the additional documents they asked from us for the affidavit of support the first week of feb. we also got a letter to have a medical exam and we got that done but the instruction says not to send until we receive a notice that gives us further instructions. Now i am wondering why it has been 3.5 months since we gave the additional docs they were asking for and they have not given us a response yet. My mom called to follow up but they said there is a delay and they are just processing july 2014 applicants for the adjustment of status and that she should have received notice before april 12 (but she did not). Does anyone have a similar experience? I dont think adjustment of status takes that long.
