Hello.

My wife and I are currently going through the CR1 process. I am a US citizen and she is waiting in Colombia. At present time, all of our paperwork is at the NVC awaiting approval (NVC received April 20).

My main question is regarding the interview scheduling. Once our paperwork has been approved by the NVC, how long is the typical waiting period for the Bogota embassy to schedule the interview?

Also, does anyone know if I will be permitted to accompany my wife inside the embassy during the interview?

I have tried asking both the NVC and the embassy in Bogota. While the NVC has been quite helpful regarding most of my questions, they are unable to respond to these two questions. It has proven quite difficult to receive any answers from the embassy.

Thanks everyone :)
