The question I would we asking is, why are new immigrants not psychologically screened to ensure they are well balanced. If someone has come here from a war zone, they should at the very least receive some sort of counseling to help them adjust and let go of the past. Prevention is always better than cure..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

For the love of little apples, you don't get your Terrorism Al-Qaeda Evil Bad Guy card when you are Muslim. There is a difference between acts committed by a violent disturbed individual and those promoted by an organized group. There's a difference between southern Christians and the Klan. There's a difference between Irish Catholics and the IRA.

The shooter here is Muslim. The media has an interest in getting people all riled up because then it sells more papers and plays to people's prejudices. The shooter here is also from a country that blew apart while he was a child. I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that maybe surviving a genocide f*cked the kid up.

When something like this happens do you not agree that the possibility of terrorism should be investigated? Be honest.

The media is riling people up? I haven't read in a single story that he IS Muslim. It's hinted around at but not clearly stated. Why is that? Look at how Islam reacted to some cartoons for your answer.

Political correctness will be the downfall of the west. Wake up people.

Terrorist acts are politically motivated, most likely involve more than one person and have some objective no matter how senseless or ruthless the act may be.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I can't access the link, but I agree all possible leads should be followed. My hunch though is that he acted alone and this was not an act of terror. It has all the traits of other lone gunmen who snap and start shooting people randomly.

Of course it was not an act of terror. Terrorists aim for the deaths of thousands. What a sad waste of lives..
