Just read this recent link from AlJazeer network here on visajourney

http://america.aljazeera.com/opinions/2015/5/how-the-us-enables-human-rights-abuses-in-colombia.html

It makes me freaking so sick! As a former Army Infantry man, now a nurse.... I am disgusted by these people. What is worse is that the corruption to hide these types of things is true.

This article tries to make it seem like Plan Colombia is some sort of success?? PFFT , Try watching the documentary on Netflix and get another perspective.

When I was in the military I saw these Colombian officers training with us at the School of Americas when I was attached to a Ranger Battallion. Little did I know that we were teaching these colombian officers to commit such atrocities back on their home soil. It is part of the fundamental reason why alot of Colombians, to this day, still do not trust the colombian military and security forces... During this time frame (when this was occuring), they were just as bad as the FARC. (Which led to the refugee movement of people out of rural areas and into the cities where there are not enough resources to go around)

And now we Americans are chemical-bombing poor colombian farmers trying to fumigate coca plants. We are providing planes and using chemicals that we would not even use in our own country. We don't go after the drug-runners/manufacturers... But yet we spray these carcinogens on women and children. Destroying not just coca plants, But destroying entire crops of Banana, Coffee, and cocoa....

IM DONE RANTING, I just hate this.

Plan Colombia is a failure.

And so is America's war on drugs here at home.
