To add to this, I'm curious if the poverty guidelines for household size include the K1 beneficiary?

thanks, that is great news. for the other fella, yes, your beneficiary MUST be included in the 'head count" towards the minimum income requirement. My gal is just starting nursing school, so she will not be finishing her college in Phills. That would be 3-4 more years yet! I do want her to finish out this semester (ending in September for her) if it's not going to interfere with her coming here. but if we have to jettison this semester (or the next one) in favor of her trip here, then the school gets kicked to the curb.

For the affidavit of support, CO confirmed to me that for K1 visa 100% in poverty guidelines is acceptable (although during the adjustment phase you need the 125%). But, if you have assets like home, extra car (they don't accept if u only have one car) you can use that too as supporting evidence and also bank statement. You only need to reach 5x of the lacking amount.
