You can get the box at any of the shippers. LBC will sell you a box ($5 I think) and when you ship your box with them, they will give you another box. You can get a list of non-allowable items as well at the shipper. Generally, you can not ship guns, ammo, explosives, acids etc.

I will bring the box with me when I go back to Philippines.! Is canned goods, like home food needs allowed and is the box available at Walmart or any store?

Let me measure a box when I get home so you know the dimemsons of "regular" sized balikbayan box and you can look in a local store. However, be careful as not all boxes are the same. You really need a sturdy box for airline travel.

Food items, household goods and clothing is what fills my boxes.

I usually send items back to Philippines for myself. I like to ship back tools and electronics, since they cost about 4 times more in Philippines for those products.

I send a checklist and when it arrives I have them open the box (while watching them on Skype) and do inventory. Once I have all my items I make them put it in my room and lock the door and when I get to Philippines I do inventory and make sure my items are still there.

Is it a large box or extra or medium ? I was thinking of how much will it cost for the airline when I bring to Philippines?

Go to your airlines website and look for the page that has there additional/excess baggage charges. Then you will know.

Call the airlines or head over to their website and check shipping charges. Bare in mind that it will be expensive.

You might be better off having it shipped via sea cargo instead of bringing it yourself.

My family when they come to the Philippines usually do this since sea cargo has no weight restriction. You can ship all you can fit.

My folks own a Filipino Store in NY and are agents of various shipping outfits.

You might want to call around your area and as if any of the Pinoy stores do the same. Some will even have Balikbayan boxes for sale.

Since you live in the Sea-Tac area I'm sure you come across more than a few Pinoy store in that area.
