CGI-UStraveldocs -am I "kinda" registered dilemna

This follows my reading of a similar posting "Am I registered or not?"

This is not a rant- i have legitimate comments/questions. Good News- Interview letter was received scheduled for May 20, 2015 in Guangzhou.

BUT - I thought everything was going according to schedule with our EP CR1 Immigrant Visa for my Chinese wife with all fees paid ($325.00 immigrant visa fee and $120 AOS Fee) . Visa fee cannot be paid until after the interview. All documents in order... and then NVC finished their work and I received a P4 Interview letter via e-mail, nothing called P-3.

I seem to have fallen into a black hole of miscommunication, misinformation and unreliable technology since this Interview Letter was received. My confidence level has plummeted. Still we press on doing what "seems right".

I reviewed the P4 letter and reviewed all links from DOS and UStraveldocs, in addition to VJ and Candle for Love. I printed and reviewed DOS Immigrant Visa Instructions specific to Guangzhou (is that P-3?)

Medical exam is scheduled for May 14 in Guangzhou.

I registered at CGI/UStraveldocs.

A profile was established at CGI-US traveldocs and pickup location was selected for the Visa and Passport. I received a transaction confirmation for the "Pickup" document delivery location.

My Dilemna- Since then,:

1. The UStraveldocs dashboard only shows limited information in the boxes. There is a profile and visa location and type info and not much more.

2.Appointment date- "There is no interview appointment date scheduled" noted on the dashboard and I am constantly directed by prompts to make an appointment. NVC made the interview appointment before passing the torch. The CGI Traveldocs rep could not / would not confirm the appointment date. Instead I was advised to send an e-mail inquiry to Support-china@ustraveldocs.com. I sent the e-mail today and received an acknowledgement but no other reply regarding the interview date. But needless to say I am furious with the lack of communication. This is my third call to CGI/Travel docs within the past week.

Regarding the interview appointment date- the last word from CGI was "don't worry about it" since I have a P4 letter. Not re-assuring if it does not display on their system since they are the last step before facing the Consulate.

Who really knows what is going on there. Where can i get a straight answer?

3.Document Delivery Location- "No location selected" on the dashboard but I have received a Transaction Confirmation with delivery type and location noted. I spoke with a CGI/Travel docs representative today about the pickup location which is in their records but not on the dashboard. Is this normal?

4. I am not one to "assume": anything during this process and have difficulty believing any comments or instruction from CGI Ustraveldocs at this point without confirming correspondence or electronic notation on the dashboard. This is not an easy process but it has gone from difficult to ridiculous at such a late and critical stage. Again, Do I have any other resource for reliable information?

5. My attitude is good and hopes are high but... what next? The rules seem to change frequently so what was right or normal last month is pre-empted by a new set of rules or procedures. Alas- "This too shall pass" is my only consoling self-advice.
