Hi there,

Filled I-130 at the consulate in HCMC today. Since ours is an exceptional case (emergency) and DCF at HCMC Office are quite rare, the local officer thought we made a mistake and tell us to go somewhere else. Good thing I brought the printed email from a senior consulate officer approving our I-130 to be filed directly at the the consulate

I was asked to raise my right hand and the I-130 was approved on the spot. I should have brought the wife birth certificate but they told us that we can bring it later.

They will send us another package for further instructions

Let's see what happens next

Anyone had the same experience?
