Hey everyone, I am pretty disheartened that we still have not received our NOA2 (NOA1 is dated 8/27). I called the customer service line 3 weeks ago, and they just told me to wait. Is there anything at all that I can do? I send my best wishes for everyone else that is still waiting. This is ridiculous.

Unfortunately there is nothing to do but wait. USCIS have already stated recently they are working on workload balancing between the service centers for I-129F petitions and will be doing re-assigning/transfers to accomplish this. You are in good company - there are a lot of us who have passed through the absurdity that is TSC and there's still many along with you. Our petition was almost at 7 months by the time TSC decided to approve it. This was after calling constantly, opening an Omsbudsman complaint, having my Senator contact them on our behalf, etc..No idea if any of that did any good or we just happened to finally come around to our time (almost 200 days). I know their speed decreased after we received our petition - which isn't saying much because they were already slow.

At the moment TSC is still running 6-8 months for approval. You're already at 217 so it may be another 1-2 months, no guarantees. Fortunately USCIS is starting to workload balance but I wouldn't start pinning hopes there until it looks like TSC is making some progress. I know you hate to hear hang in there, but you've already made it past 200 days - there really isn't too much left to go. It never gets easier, I've been there, but once you get your NOA2 none of this waiting will have mattered.

Start preparing as much as you can for the next steps - they go very fast.

Good luck!

When filling in your timeline, please understand that all I-129F's are sent to the LOCKBOX in Texas, and then ROUTED (not transferred) to your ASSIGNED service center- the one in Texas "TSC" (not the same as the lockbox!), or the one in California "CSC". If your tracking number starts with WAC, you're at the CSC, you were not transferred! There are no transfers at this time. If your number starts with SRC you're at the TSC and that's where you will serve your entire sentence.USCIS isn't fair.

They don't care about you.

Getting into that mindset of preparing for the next step really helps. Read up on post-NOA2 as much as possible, gather all the documents that are feasibly able to be gathered which don't have a time limit or time sensitivity. That way once your petition arrives at the embassy it's all on your shoulders and you can be speedy. My fiance and I had his medical booked the moment we received our NVC case number and that allowed him to schedule his interview ASAP. Read up on the specific embassy forums on the best "next steps" - many have guides for post-NOA2. In some cases you are assigned an interview, others you choose the date. In some you can do your medical without the embassy receiving the packet, in others you can't. In most cases your fiance can have the DS-160 filled out ahead of time and saved in preparation.

Good luck :)
