Was he in the military? If so then he needs a special military report from Ottawa. If not then no biggy!

Yes he was. He had to get the same report in order to work for them so the report is on file. The fuzzy area is that in August it will have been a year since he requested it.

From what I understand it was a bit of a pain in the rear to get Ottawa to release the records.

I got mine from RCMP for $60.

It is check via name and date of birth. It is Canada wide. If they see anything under your name, then that's the only time you will be required for the fingerprints.

It took them 15-20mins for them to run the check. I had my Police Record with me same day.

and you can do this on a weekend. they are open Saturdays and Sundays No need to take a day off from work.
