So here is my situation, I started using a site called Remitly to send my fiancé money to help her with paying for things that she needs for her passport and because the site doesn't support the site I am from I was able to change the state to one that they do support. The only problem is though when I print out the information as proof that I have been financially supporting her it shows that I am from AL, but when I finally send in the K1 packet with this proof my other documents will show I am from NH. Can anyone tell me if this will be an issue? Or can I just black out parts of my info on those documents showing me sending her money without having any issues?

Generally not considered by anyone on this site to show proof of support such as what you're doing as a good idea....it could be misconstrued as a relationship predicated on money. Later on in the process you do have to show proof that you will be able to support them once they get here but that's using pay stubs and tax returns. What other things can you use for proof of relationship?

Okay, I was just trying to think of other things other than the basic suggestions such as pictures, boarding passes, itinerary, receipts from the places that we've been together with a picture of us at that place, hotel receipts, 2 printed e-mails from each month that we have sent them. Thing is we talk a lot on Facebook and Skype so it's hard to show how many messages we have sent each other through Facebook and the amount of times we've called each other on Skype. that is unless anyone has any suggestions on how I could track those sort of things.

Use boarding passes, copy all you're passport pages front cover to back, hotel receipts/flight intenarires even if you only have the emails, and your pictures and you won't need the skype and facebook. If you feel you want to add them.....in the account settings on fb go the bottom and you will something that says download all profile data or something like. It will literally download everything you've putr on fb. You can cut and paste snippets messages of your relationship in word doc, but in all honesty not really necessary as that doesnt show proof of being together in person within the last two years. If you cant figure out just Google "how to download my facebook profile/information". Good luck. Edited by Shauneg

You don't need to send proof of sending money to her in Philippines. In fact I think it's a bad idea to send that kind of relationship proof. The reason is that it can be viewed two different ways: first in the good way as you intend as relationship proof, and 2nd in the bad way that your relationship is just based on money... either just for her benefit or yours alone.

You will be fine to send a few pictures, some chat logs, some emails, cell phone logs, etc. for your relationship proof. Focus on things that show your relationship.

My relationship proof consisted of:

  • 8 pages of Skype logs
  • 8 pages of Viber logs
  • Cell phone records
  • 15 pictures

We were approved no problem.
