Hello!

Today I applied for Singapore COC and Indian PCC.

Singapore COC Experience:

Reached the police complex at 08:20 am. The visitors were seated next to the visitor pass allotment area. At 08:30 am, they opened up the office but people did not follow any rules but started running to get the visitor pass quick. I was the last one to get the visitor pass. After that I had to join a little queue for baggage scanning and then went to level 2 for applying COC. Please remember that you would have to get a printed queue number once you enter the small room for COC. You can select one of the following options:

1) Singapore Citizen

2) PR/ Foreigner

3) Enquiry etc

After getting the queue number, you will just need to wait for the number to flash on TV. My number flashed at around 09:10 am. I did not carry any photocopies but the officials were nice enough to do it without any hassle. Please do not exchange your EP/ Passport for Visitor Pass at the entrance. If you do not have the photocopies, do not worry, the officials will do it for you. After payment of S$55(cash/ NETS), the officer returned a receipt and the next step was the finger printing. The finger printing was quick and I was out of the police complex by 09:25 am.

I will receive my COC on April 10, 2015 because I am not a Singaporean. If you are Singapore Citizen then you would receive your COC in 10 working days. It is 15 working days for foreigners.

Indian PCC Experience:

Reached the Indian Embassy at 79 Anson road at 12:00 pm and I was out by 12:05 pm lol (working hours for collection -> 08:30 am to 01:30 pm). They need the form, passport photocopy, EP photocopy, photocopy of the letter from embassy, photocopy of the checklist and S$41.10.

ATTENTION: They will hold your passport until you get the PCC. Do not goto Indian embassy before doing DS160 and Singapore COC stuff. They will SMS me once my PCC is ready for pick up (2-5 working days). If you want a courier to be delivered to your office/ home then you would have to pay S$10 plus wait for 1 more working day + time of delivery. I chose not to take risk with my passport and would personally pick it up from Rangoon Road Indian Embassy office.

After doing all that, I went to SingPost and sent (Speedpost Standard S$10) PACKET 3 (i.e. checklist, form, receipt and DS160 confirmation) to US Embassy, Napier Road. They will receive it on Monday because SingPost postman does not deliver documents on Saturday!?
