Hi

I am a UK Citizen and have an E2 visa as i work for a company here in USA. I recently married a US citizen and want to change my visa to a residency visa.

Can anyone give me some advice of what forms i need to fill out to start that application process?

Thanks in advance.

Colette

There is a guide for when you are already in the US on another visa and want to change your status based on marriage to a US citizen http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2

See also the menu bar "Guides".

My husband is on an E3 from Australia so we are going through same process. The guide posted above is a great way to start.

I wish someone had told me one piece of advice way back and that is to get started on your i-693 (Medical Examination). You need to make an appointment with a civil surgeon and provide vaccination records (which in my husbands case was not possible). We ended up driving over an hour to some sketchy town in order to get an appointment soon as the closer options were booked for months.

It's a daunting process, but this forum and website are extremely helpful!
