Hi to all!

Just last weekend, we have received good and bad news. Good, that our K1 petition application had been approved in less than 2 months :dancing: . Bad, that my fiance had just been diagnosed of mild Pulmonary Tuberculosis :crying: .

According to her local pulmonologist (not from the accredited hospital of the US Embassy), she can proceed with the K1 Visa application and take the medical exam after the first 2 weeks of her intensive medication provided that she just take along with her a medical certificate from the attending pulmonologist that she's not contagious anymore and is clear to travel under treatment.

Now, we're not sure if it's safe for her to go ahead and take the medical exam for the K1 Visa or if we have to wait until her treatment is done which is gonna take 6 months and which is right about the same time for the approved petition to expire since she got diagnosed with TB on March 2015 and our petition application had been approved on March 2015 too. If she fails the medical exam, the application would be re-evaluated. If she waits until her treatment is done, the application would be re-evaluated. Either way, it's still gonna be re-evaluated and the approval will be delayed. Should we take the chance in having her go thru the medical exam? Is it fine to call the US Embassy about it and ask them what needs to be done first before we proceed?

Whoever has similar case/s, please feel free to drop your comments. Thank you!
