You only need Police Clearance via Name Check. If there is a record under your name, that's the only time you will need the finger prints. It took me 15mins to request for the Name Check Police Clearance. The lady from RCMP said, if there is a record under the name, the finger prints will take couple of months to be issued.

The Police Clearance has no validity date on it, only date of issued. From my understanding, the Police Clearance should be not older than 6 months from the date of interview.

Good luck!

You do not need US Police Clearance. They will do the background check themselves.
