prior divorce decrees/certificates

Greetings. When we were getting prior divorce decrees translated, we had them notarized first. Now they are (yes, there are a few of them:-)) all stitched with seals and stuff. Should I submit them as is in their intact notarized form or take them apart and only use copies and translations, since it appears there was no need to have them notarized? Any experiences with that?

TIA

I nade the copies without detatching them because of the seals.

In my case I sent the translation without the copies of the original language, now they are asking me for RFE and it has been a nightmare because the RFE is so confusing. I have an appointment with USCIS tomorrow hoping to straighten things out.
