Unique Background for an F-1 Visa. Need advice

Hi,

I've been accepted to a University in the US. However, I think the difficult part is yet to come.

I'd like to give a bit of background detail on my situation. I am currently in Pakistan.

I travelled to the USA back in 1993 when I was one year old with my mother. At the time I entered the country illegaly (laxer measures and whatnot). However I returned when I was 11 years old somewhere around 2004. Now the questions is that I have been to the USA as a child and came back as a child. It was beyond my control where I was and so I dont think I should be held responsible. However, I am concerned that this might cause the VO to suspect me of immigration intent. To add to matter, my two brothers are Citizens. Me and my parents are not. One of my brothers is currently studying in the USA. I have enough finances for my education so that should'nt be a issue hopefully. However my past is haunting me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

The US does not penalize minors for the choices made by their parents.

You do not have a problem as long as you disclose your time in the US.

Having USC brothers who could help you stay illegally would be your biggest problem. You will have to show strong ties to Pakistan to show you will not illegally immigrate.
