I recently filed K1, fiance visa. It has been approved last Nov of 2014. I received NOA1 on the month of Dec. On that letter says, they will be sending the approved k1 form to U.S. embassy in Philippines which will take several weeks. When they are ready, they will then send my fiance papers for her to follow as the next step to take. I believe it is the NOA2?... Anyway, they said that it will be sent to her (my fiance) the papers between Dec. 16, (2014) to Feb. 16 of 2015. It has been past Feb. 16 and still no papers arrived as it supposed to. Philipines it is actually Feb. 19. What should i do best from here on? Should i be contacting u.s. embassy in Manila, ask about the papers or should we just wait? We are a little anxious about it right now. I do not have any clue of what to do next. I heard one of my friends said, my fiance can just go online and apply for visa, etc.. whereas the letter, NOA1 is telling us to wait until my fiance received a letter which is supposed to be some guides on what she should do next. I'm anxious and a little confused. Can any one pls help us? I really appreciate it.

God bless

*it is actually Feb 19 now in Philippines

Go to the USCIS website and check to see if it has been approved. Are you sure it didn't say NOA2 because an NOA1 is an acceptance letter. It sounds like you have not recieved and NOA2 as of yet. I can definitely be wrong. Check the USCIS websit using the reciept number. It should begin with WAC I think for California service center. If it says approved them I would call the NVC.

I have already received a NOA1 back in Dec of 2014. It has a u.s. sealed in it with Notice of action on the upper right hand corner. Also... saying that my I-129F has been approved.

This 2nd letter i received, is the one with Case Number, USCIS Receipt Number, etc. It also says:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your fiance's approved I-129F petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). The NVC will now forward the petition to the u.s. Embassy or Consulate in Manila. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate will contact your fiance when they are ready to process his or her petition.

Next Steps: Go to our website

http://nvc.state.gov/k1to learn how to apply for a K visa and prepare for the visa interview.

We, my fiance and I checked the website given. We eventually found out how to apply for visa for her in Philippines. Is this the NOA2 paper? The letter says nothing about the NOA2. We are sort of confused and don't know what to do next. Should she apply for a visa now?

Yea that's it. the NVC will send it to the consulate and the embassy will send a packet to your fiancée with the next steps. When it went to the NVC(National Visa Center)they prepared it for the K1 visa. Wait until u get the packet before you schedule anything. You will still fill out something online and pay a fee eventually.

If you already had the mnl case number your fiance can start paying the visa and schedule interview and do medical. No need to wait for the letter from Us embassy manila.

"Wait until u get the packet before you schedule anything. " That is very bad advice for Philippine beneficiaries. These letters rarely if ever get delivered. Once the Manila Case # is received from the NVC they are ready to move forward.

For Philippine K-1 Visas...there is a website that tells you everything you need to know...
