My father had his interview on Feb 3. The releasing officer said he needs his sponsor's form 1040 from irs. No 211g was issued. The officer said he will email the petitioner (stepmom). He even said that my visa will be issued 2 weeks from feb 3. Until today, no email was received. Should I just send the form 1040?

I have no idea since no 221g was issued and the email they said they sent wasn't received.

Can I just go ahead and send the missing documents via 2go? What should cover letter contain?

No idea either. Maybe you can call embassy and ask about it?

No do not just mail the ITR, there is a process. Contact the embassy and ask they email the 221g to you as you have not received it yet (instructions are in the 221g). Normally - once you have the 221g print out a copy, then take the copy of the 221g and the ITR to 2GO for delivery.

I've been calling the embassy but no one is answering. Can we just write a cover letter with case number and the contents of the package?

When i emailed them,it took almost a month for them to reply. I emailed on the 29th of December and they replied 26th of January.

A copy is totally fine. Just scan it and email if you want.
