Hello. St. Lukes found a scar on my lungs due to Spontaneos Pneumothorax operation last year. I am expecting to receive the results on my sputum exam on the first week of April (2 months). I'm from Iloilo so this means I need to travel back to Manila on April. My question is, after the results are available, can I schedule my interview before I fly back to Manila so that I could finish my vaccinations and have my interview on the same week? Thanks.

Yes, you can schedule USEM interview the same week that you finish medical. We just went through the whole DOT process.

SLEC will be the one to take your sealed medical report to the USEM, so better to allow one day for that to happen. Meaning to do your interview 2 days after you are released from SLEC.

Does SLEC schedule the vaccination for me? Or can I go there anytime I want? Since I'm planning to schedule the interview before flying to Manila. Thanks

Yes, After you clear the sputum test then SLEC will give you the vaccinations. Did they give you a date to report back to SLEC? That should be the same day that they would give you vaccinations.

They said I can call on April 8, does this mean I have to go there immediately on the 9th? Or can I go on a later date so that it'll be at least two days before my resecheduled interview?

My parents were told to Call on January 22nd, which then they were told to come back to SLEC on 02/02, They can't tell them whether the result was positive or negative though. So they went and my Mom ended up getting another X-RAY. She had some spotting on her initial X-RAY cos she had cough at that time. But they finally got their immunization done on 02/04.

It's may be an uncommon case for my parents, but anything could happen, so in my opinion, 5 days would be safer.

Did you schedule your parents' interview yourself?

Yes I called USEM on the day we confirmed with SLEC that it's negative, to be on the safe side.
