I am filing for my wife along with a 5 year old son who both came here as a tourist, can I file the adjustment of status separately or file together with my wife and son. I discovered later that he is already a US citizen because he is my son. He came in here as a tourist though. I will like someone who has passed through this to share their story that might help me decide whether to file for citizenship for him alone or adjustment of status.

If he is a citizen because your citizen ship then no you wouldn't be fling any adjustment of status You need to get hm a US passport.

Are you US born Citizen or naturalized?

If naturalized, how long have u been a citizen?

I am a naturalized US citizen and I have been a citizen for 3 years now. Should I go ahead and file N600 for him or just allow him get the Green Card?

If your son is a U.S. citizen, then a green card isn't necessary for him. When he comes of age to work, He could apply for state identification using his passport, birth certificate and social security number.
