I am interested in how the process works with scheduling your own interview as well/ how quickly you can get an appointment once you have your number. Please keep us updated! Fingers crossed that you will get an appointment on time!

I will definitely update you. We booked the medical yesterday and submitted the DS-160 and readiness form. Now waiting for the case to go "in transit." We tried to book an interview just for the heck of it, and got the "not ready" message. From what others have said the soonest available slots are 8/4-8/5 currently.

Did anyone have an issues using a photo copy of a marriage license for the AOS?

Not sure if I need to go through the couple weeks to get one in the mail or not... Wanted to get some feedback if anyone had successfully adjusted status with a copy!!

Thanks!!

A photocopy is fine as long as it shows certification by the courthouse....a stamp, seal, embossing, signature, whatever... that shows the marriage was registered. If you have to interview, take the original.

Thank you! Another question - where do we find his alien registration number? He has a number starting with A on his visa, but it is under "Annotation". Just want to make sure that is the right number before we put it on his forms!!

Hey y'all, my fiance just booked his interview! So for those wondering, we got our LND number on Monday morning, the status on the CEAC website went to "In Transit" Tuesday afternoon, but the system didn't allow him to book it until 24 hours after that (this afternoon). We got a much earlier date than expected, 7/19! He said there were still a few dates scattered about in late July, before consistently open dates starting in early August.

Good info! Thank you for the update.

Thanks for sharing - I'm hoping to have my NOA3 by end of June and need an early/mid-august interview date for a planned move in September...

Good news getting the visa :)

I went through Chicago, unfortunately you have to go through the new visa side and not the already used ESTA queue. I waited over an hour to get seen. They just took the envelope and let me go on my way. It was a Saturday though.

I picked up my visa yesterday. I've read on here that it should have a tear in the envelope, mine doesn't. Does anyone know if that's a problem?

Your be fine, the only tear mine got was on the way over and it got accepted fine, shouldn't be any on there :)

The point of the white envelope is to keep your immigration files secure where nobody can alter them until you turn them over to CBP. If your envelope will do that, then you have no problem.
