Hello–

I just received my first NOA for the N-400 I sent in a few weeks ago. I was expecting there to be some kind of instructions or date on it, but nothing of the sort. Am I waiting for another letter with instructions to get biometrics or do I need to do something in the mean time? While I'm asking questions, could someone also explain what happens after biometrics? At what point in time does the person applying need to know all the civics questions?

Thanks so much for any help and best of luck to everyone.

Your NOA with have a date on it... that's the date your application began the process.

They'll send you a letter for your biometrics appointment.

They'll send you a letter for your interview. You have to pass your civics test as part of your interview.

The whole process is explained in the USCIS naturalization guide. Please read it.
